Kids Party

Simple and enjoyable games in the party are what make kids to have a great fun. The following are some of the most interesting games that kids of 4-5 years can easily follow and enjoy.
Blowing bubbles is always tops in fun. This wise hostess placed a low flat pan in the center of one of the low tables. In it she had put a mixture of soapy water and a few drops of glycerin. She gave each child a straw. Soon the air was filled with squeals of delight from the youngsters as the bubbles floated upward. The straws were excellent blowers, made no mess, and were easily replaced when broken by chubby fingers.
After the activity of these games the youngsters were ready to settle down at the tables to try finger painting. Each child was fitted with a large paper apron to protect his party clothes. The bib-style aprons were made of heavy butcher's paper on which ties and halters of tape had been stitched. Finger painting of course is that familiar childhood art of smearing finger paint onto large sheets of paper with the fingers. Our hostess made a generous supply of three colors of finger paint. Here is her recipe.
Dissolve one-eighth cup of laundry starch in a half cup of cold water. Slowly add to a pint of boiling water and cook about five minutes stirring constantly to keep the mixture smooth. Add vegetable coloring and let cool. For this party the hostess had divided the mixture into three parts coloring one red, the second green,

Party Invitations

Most, if not all people enjoy Halloween, and kids in particular have a great time dressing up and thinking that they're scaring the adults. Halloween is a great time to have a party, adults as well as children, really enjoy parties and if you plan to make it more of a grand affair, then you may want to send out Halloween invitations before the big day.
You can get invitations that are more like flyers than anything else as they are printed just like a sheet. It's possible to order invitation sheets for All Hallows Eve to your own specifications, so whatever the main theme of your Halloween party is going to be; can also be the theme on your invitation sheets.
If you plan your party for adults only, then you may want to think about having a creepy cocktails party with specially designed invitations just for that party.
Fright night invitation sheets also look quite awesome and you can plan to have some scary events at your fright night party, whether it's for adults, children, or even a family and friends affair. You could arrange some scary games and try to see that everyone who attends is wearing a scary costume. You could even list your specialty fright night foods on the invitation and perhaps make a fruit punch with an equally scary name.
You'll probably want to have pumpkin lanterns on the table, and you can even get scary paper tablecloths to carry on with the theme.

Party Planning

Planning a successful party can be a complex project. There are many factors to consider to minimize embarrassing mishaps or possible conflicts. The more import the party you are planning the more attention you should pay to the planning. A 50th wedding anniversary party is usually going to require more complex planning than a small backyard barbeque party.

The first and most important aspect of party planning is to determine the reason for the party. The reason for the party usually determines the size, the budget, who is invited, and how many people you want to accommodate.

Setting your budget is crucial. The size of your budget can determine how many people you invite, the kind of food you serve, etc. You can do some very creative things with limited budgets; so modest budgets should not deter you. The most important thing is not to spend a dollar until you have your budget.

If money is an issue you may want to partner with someone to pay for the party. For example, if you are planning a birthday party you may have your party with a friend whose birthday is close to yours. Celebrating two peoples’ birthday may be even more exciting. When you are faced with a problem try to think of it more as an opportunity instead of a problem.

How many people you invite has not only to do with your budget, but your location. If you plan the party to be held in your house, you should know how many people you can accommodate. You can invite about ten percent more than you can accommodate since some people may have to cancel in the last minute. When you invite guest to your party, try to avoid inviting people who can’t stand each other. You want people to have fun, and you should do everything you can to avoid fights.

Party Ideas

Most of us think only of weddings when considering party favors. However, they are often given at birthday parties or any social gathering at which the host wants to thank their guests for coming. These favors can range from very simple items, such as a small parcel containing a sweet or two, to extravagant gifts. The history of the favor reveals that the first to give them were the Italian nobility and their wealth permitted them to give items made of silver or gold.

The majority of us do not have the money to be able to buy our guests anything extravagant. However, there are simple ways to show your appreciation which do not have to cost a lot of money. If your gathering involves a formal, seated meal favors can double as place settings. For example, at a wedding each place setting could be marked by a miniature champagne bottle with a label displaying the name of the person who is to sit there. Then, all of the guests will have their own cork to pop for the toast.

If your budget allows, you could purchase a small photo frame for each guest at your party. Inside you could place a piece of paper with their names on. This would then give your guest a keepsake of the event. In addition, when you send them a thank-you card after the occasion you can include a photo taken at the time for them to place in their frame. This ensures that every guest has something to cherish from your gathering.

Another way to add life to traditional favors is the way in which you display them. If your party has a theme then you can incorporate this into their decoration. If you are having a beach themed party, for example, you could place a children’s bucket, filled with sand, in the center of each table and place the favors in there.

If you are creative you could make bookmarks or embroider handkerchiefs for each guest with their initials on. Alternatively, if your guests are friends you made through a shared hobby you could incorporate that into your favors. For example, a group of golfers may appreciate a ball or a couple of tees more than chocolate. Also, this adds the personal touch as your gifts are relevant to your guests and this makes them feel appreciated and valued.

Party

Gather the elements that represent the person in question have them around you. Things like: magazines, music, food, movies, their culture, likes, hates ...do the big brain dumpo and throw all your thoughts on paper. DO NOT EDIT these nuggets. Just get them down. I have a lot of these ideas on tap at BBPI. How? Habit mostly. I have trained myself to catch ideas as the pop.

Step Three: Grow the idea
Use the rule of three. Learnt in my tour guiding days, don't try and put any more than three big elements together. Put them in some order and link them in some way, so that there is a continuous flow during the time.

Step Four: Engage the masses
Get others involved. Choose wisely and really make sure they are clear on their role.

Step Five: Take the idea out on the highway.,br>
Use Mental Rehearsal and have a Run Sheet. No matter how small the occasion, have it clearly stated what will happen, when, and who is responsible.

Themed Party Decoration

Every child deserves to celebrate his or her birthday, and throwing an awesome birthday party is the best way to keep the young ‘uns happy. You don’t need a professional event planner. All you have to do is some creative thinking and hard work, and get together the right party supplies. The pay-off is getting to see the kids have an incredible time.

Remember to consult with the most important person in all this – the birthday boy or girl – and your party planning will be all the better for it. There’s really no point in having that party if the kids aren’t having a lot of fun. So talk it over: ideas for a theme, food and drink, candy, party games, favors, all of it. See that you can give them what they actually want. It’ll be a little trickier if you’re going for a surprise party, but even then you can ask their friends and/or siblings for their opinions. It might be wise to ensure that nobody lets the cat out of the bag, though.

Theme Party Ideas

The most successful children’s birthday parties kick off with a cool theme. The possibilities are literally endless, just like your child’s imagination. From the sunny beach theme that’ll remind her of her favorite summer vacations, to the cartoon superhero group that he loves to read about – anything will do as long as your child loves it.

Party Decorate

One thing which is necessary in making birthday parties exciting are the involvement of party decors. The other crucial supplements which make your party a completely enjoyable occasion are balloons, banners and streamers. You can maximize the use of these supplementary elements by offering them as part of party favors even though you have to incur some extra expenditure.

A not-too-common sight at birthday parties is inflatable birthday party centerpieces. Basically, these are balloons that are creatively arranged to be the center of attraction for party guests. These balloons could be precariously perched on flower standees, netted onto the ceiling waiting that fateful moment when they are released in total mayhem or strung down from the ceiling. They could also be filled with helium gas and bunched up together to rise from the floor towards the sky, or even better, placed smack dab in the middle of the birthday cake.

Decorate your venue as per your choice. Birthday party centerpieces are in the limelight for their role in illuminating parties as supporting force and best party favor items for the guests taking them home. The choice is entirely yours to use printed latex balloons. Make sure that final output is worth noticed by everybody.

Party Supplies Decorations

Everyone loves to attend a great party, but far fewer people I know love to throw a great party. Why? Because it takes a lot of time, energy, and attention to detail to throw any truly great party. From my experience, one of the biggest things that causes people to hesitate about throwing parties is their lack of understanding of what it really takes. It takes a lot to throw a party, but one of the biggest and most necessary elements is having the right party supplies.

It takes party supplies to make a great party just as it takes ingredients to cook a meal. You cannot end up with the finished product you want - a party or a meal - without putting in the right things. Choosing great party supplies can be overwhelming, but I guarentee that it will be less overwhelming if it is done with a theme in mind.

My advice to anyone planning a party for almost any occasion is to have a theme for the party. I have been to far too many parties over the years that seem disconnected and without a point. A well chosen theme will make everything about party planning, including gathering the right party supplies, easier. How do you choose a theme? Simple. Just think about things like the occasion, the guests, the interests of the guests, and the time of the year that you are planning to have your party.

Christmas Party Decorations

Decorating Your Home For Christmas.

Christmas decorating in America has evolved over the years. We have taken many different traditions from various countries and made them our own. The way we decorate our trees, string lights, and celebrate Christmas in general have become almost an art form in America. Although Christmas is considered a Christian holiday, many non-Christians celebrate Christmas as well.

Christmas Tree Lights.

For instance, candles used to be used as Christmas lights on Christmas trees. Buckets of water were often placed by the tree in case of fire. Using real candles for decorating became a real fire hazard. The invention of the electric light changed the way we decorated. Soon strings of lights replaced candles. Today, however, battery operated lights and candles have become popular. They tend to be a bit more expensive, but as time goes on, the prices will drop. They are also much more safe to use than real candles. You can string them in your tree or use the battery candle sticks. Many churches now use flameless battery candles in their church services because of the ease of using them. There is no fire hazard and they are easy to store.

Christmas Ornaments.

Americans have a tradition of passing ornaments down through generations. It brings back fond childhood memories every year when they start decorating the tree. Every year a new ornament may be bought and added to the collection. Often when a couple is married, they start their own ornament collection. People give wedding ornaments, baby ornaments, and other various ornaments to new families. Decorating the tree is often the highlight of the season because the Christmas tree has become the center of many American homes Christmas display. Many families go and choose a tree together or put up their artificial tree. They have family time and decorate the tree together. Many memories are made and shared when putting up the Christmas tree.

Birthday Party Decorations

Noahs Ark decorations, so inviting that you'll sail over two-by-two to celebrate. Before you gather the animals and get ready for the flood, check out these Noahs Ark decoration ideas, to help you create a tip-top, terrific toddler birthday party!

BOAT

If at all possible, try to hold the party on a boat. Perhaps a friend has a makeshift "ark" they are willing to "gift" to your child for their party. This "prop" will immediately set the tone for your Noah's Ark birthday party.

If a boat just isn't available, then make a huge ark that covers one of your party room walls. Your best option for creating this would be to use butcher paper and paint it brown. Be sure to add windows to your ark, so you can place a photo of each child attending the party in one of the windows. They will all enjoy seeing themselves "floating" in the ark! Of course, no ark is complete unless you fill it with animals. Attach animal Mylar balloons, two of each animal type, to your ark. Finish it off by making wavy blue water from construction paper or cardstock and glue it to the ark's bottom. Add a colorful rainbow and a white dove in the sky.

SIGNS/YARD STAKES

Make various Noahs Ark decorations to cover your walls. Signs are always a great option and they can also be attached to yard stakes and used to line the walkway entrance. Have them say things like "Caution! Flooding Ahead", "I'm Flooded With Excitement", "Welcome to (child's Name)'s Ark", "Animal Crossing", etc.

CEILING DECOR

Cut various animal shapes (two of each animal type) from craft foam or construction paper, using animal stencils as your guide. Hang them from your ceiling at various lengths using fishing line.

Noahs Ark decorations would not be complete without an array of color demonstrated by turning your entire ceiling into a delightful rainbow. Cover it with rows of twisted streamers in all the various colors of the rainbow -- red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.

Theme Party Decorations

Your party's overall atmosphere will be enhanced by your chosen party decorations. Plus, guests get to enjoy and feel the occasion more with the right themed party decorations. Planning is key in the selection and purchase of your party needs.

Before even purchasing any party decorations based on your color scheme and theme, you must be aware of the type of party that you will be having. This doesn't mean knowing if it's a baby shower, a birthday, an anniversary etc. This goes deeper than that and goes into the details like whether it is informal or formal, traditional, serious, etc. Depending on the party, the type will dictate your decorations from color, accessories and even activities.

For a party that includes a full meal whether it is buffet or seated, part of your decorations will have to be your china, napkins, linens and crystal glasses. It is important to consider that your decorations should not clash with your china. For your napkins, you do fancy folds for a more distinct look. Formal table cloths or linens may be used for formal parties while plastic or disposable table cloths may be used for informal ones. If you will be holding an outdoor party, make sure that you provide provisions for covering the various dishes to prevent insects from getting into them.

Party Decorating

The time has come for your little princess to celebrate her birthday and she has decided that this is the year for her royal ball; an enchanting afternoon to celebrate with all of her friends. Now what? Relax, take a deep breath and follow our guide to decorate for the Perfect Princess Party.

Whether you a month or even just a week to plan, we will make this birthday the easiest and best.

First you need to decide what is doable and what you can do without. If you have a budget, stick to the basics. You do not need to spend a lot of money to have a magical day.

Of course decorations are a must! If you are on a budget, the dollar store is your friend. You are certain to find streamers, table covers and balloons there. Here you can save some money by purchasing basic colors instead of Princess themed streamers and balloons. Buy a mix of pink, purple, white or yellow. These are the basic colors for princesses.

First, start by making a thrown for the princess. If she is younger in age, a child’s chair will work great. My daughter had a Cinderella plush chair that made a great thrown. If you do not have something similar, take a basic chair and cover with tulle fabric. If it is an adult chair, try adding a step stool in front, to make it easier for her to get on and off. Place chair against a blank wall if possible

Right kind of ambiance is of utmost importance in parties as it sets the guests in high spirits. Though we may not realize it overtly but a perfect ambiance adds a lot to the fun and frolic to the party. Imagine visiting a home party and one sees everything just tied up very neatly and kept at its place without any pomp and colors? However, many of us do prefer our homes like that in our everyday lives, but for a party, it might seem to be dull and unexciting. Parties are meant to bring something in us that we don’t experience in our monotonous day-to-day lives.

Some of the unusual tips to se the party mood

Colorful room with interesting slogans and posters on the walls of the room will set the party mood for the hosts as well as the guests. Painting some nice posters with crazy dancing pictures and slogans along with some interesting collage will make people laugh out loud. Serious slogans and posters are a big no-no during the party as parties are a time to rock and roll, and forget all sorrows and worries of life.

Also, one can add some glitters to these artistic works so as to give it a jazzy look. PiƱatas full of candies and chocolates or some other small gifts serve as a nice surprise package that contributes to another layer of zeal and excitement to the party. Nevertheless, if you have a theme in mind regarding the party or any specific color that you have decided on, make sure to mould these decorations according to them.
